Our School will be having our annual #Giving Tuesday on GlobalGiving, on Tuesday, 30th November 2021. GlobalGiving will be giving Matching Funds for every unique donation. The campaign starts at 12.00pm (midday) Cambodian Time (00.00 EST in USA).
This is an especially important fundraising Campaign for us, because we often raise about a third or the funds necessary for the year ahead, to house, feed, clothe, provide medical care and Childcare and Arts Training, to All our Children in Residence and our Blind Children.
Those of our Children who lost their parents and are in Residence, are mostly not able to return to their extended families, often because of neglect and abuse and sometimes abandonment. Although some Children come into our Care for short periods, there are many, who have nowhere else to go. It is essential that we are Always there for them.
As you will know, our School is a member of International Childsafe, so that we are subject to rigorous controls and training of our staff, by our Partners Friends International and others. We also thank our local partners Epic Arts and the Department of Social Affairs for their wonderful cooperation.
In this last year, we have never stopped taking care of our 20 Children in Residence, including our Blind students. We have also, with support from Unicef, CSA and the Dakk Foundation, provided Emergency Food Packages and counselling to 125 Families and 80 cooked meals a day at our School, every day for all those in great need, for a period of three months.
Our School continues always with the tuition of Traditional Khmer Music and Performing Arts, to Preserve them for future generations of Cambodians.
