On August the 1st, Neark Kru Catherine L. Geach, founder of KCDI, and Loak Kru Uon Sambo met with Her Excellency the Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Madame Phouerng Sackona.
Our School is extremely Grateful to Her Excellency for her wonderful understanding and constant support of our School.
We would like to take this opportunity to Thank the Ministry of Culture for sponsoring the construction of a beautiful new wall around our School on our 29th year since its founding. The wall is built in Traditional Cheung Deang style (Candle-stick style) and is reminiscent of the University of Fine Arts Plastic Faculty and Museum near the Royal Palace.
Catherine also later met with Her Excellency Madame Sopheap, Director of Social Affairs in Kampot, to discuss our School’s assistance to very vulnerable Children and the general situation of extreme poverty in Kampot Province.
